Each week on the show, we pretend to view movies and give our pretend reviews of upcoming movies. And this week we had a special treat…
Former Radio X show co-host Christie came back to do the Movie Spotlight with us! So along with John and Whitters, she adds her thoughts on this week’s releases!
Daybreakers
In the near future, humanity nears extinction when an unknown plague transforms the world’s population into vampires.
Whitters would see this movie. Why? Vampires + “Running Up the Hill” by Placebo = yum. Christie wouldn’t see it because she’s a skerrdd!!! Nobody remembers what John said, but he’d probably see this movie. Maybe?
Leap Year
Amy Adams travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend, following a tradition requiring a man to say yes if proposed to on a leap day.
Whitters would see this movie, as she’s a fan of Amy Adams. John and Christie both snubbed the movie, with John bringing up the fact that the movie isn’t even coming up during a leap year, so OMGWTFBBQ?!?
Youth in Revolt
Michael Cera stars as Nick Twisp, a high school student who reinvents himself to win the heart of his dream girl.
While she likes Michael Cera’s other works, Whitters doesn’t seem to interested in this one. Christie remembered first watching the trailer for the movie, but couldn’t remember the trailer, so that made her mind. John just didn’t think it was funny on any level.
